Ms. Elizabeth Suina has over 21 years of experience in the architecture and engineering fields. She is Principal Architect for Suina Design + Architecture, a former business owner of Suina + Mead Architects and a Pueblo de Cochiti Tribal member. Ms. Suina has managed a variety of projects including renovations, historic restoration and new construction with several receiving LEED Goas and Platinum certifications. Her experience includes marketing, design, fee negotiation, programming, planning, specifications writing, contract negotiation and construction management. Ms. Suina leads the technology team for SD+A, incorporation Building Information Modeling (BIM), Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Facility Management Services (FMA) for clients.
Ms. Suina is an active volunteer on the AIA Albuquerque Board and co-chairs the Golf Tournament committee. Elizabeth is President of the UNM SAAP Alumni Chapter and part-time studio professor at the UNM School of Architecture. She has represented Native American interests and organizations including NACA on their recent facility design and construction selection committee. She serves on the Cochiti Higher Education Committee and funds an educational endowment scholarship for Native American women at the UNM School of Architecture.
